Blog Post: Friday 4/25/14

I was away for the last few days, so I didn't have a chance to write anything. I finished some major projects that are due after the break, so I'm done with that. I've used this break to unwind and do absolutely nothing. I don't think there's much to say, like it's been a pretty boring week. Oh actually, I just finished two books. Yup. I'm just going to add random notes at the bottom. vvv

New Year's Resolution

This year I plan on focusing more on my academics. This year is an incredibly important year for my studies and I have been goofing off a lot more last year. So, this year I plan to start planning ahead and making sure I am dedicating time and effort into my work.

Generally I want to:

• Become more studious.
• Be more organize.
• Stop procrastinating
• Participate in class more.
• Check my agenda more often to do assignments.
• Finish work and assignments earlier.

Q: What is allegory and how is it used as a source of power? How is power a form of allegory?

A: Allegory is a literary device used in a story/poem that includes characters and events to represent a hidden meaning. Allegory is a source of power, since it presents the concept as something more relatable. It allows the author to manipulate the idea for people to understand. Power is a form of allegory, because power can be disguised as leadership or meaningful when it is actually corrupt and menacing.
